Nepenthes talangensis x hamata, BE-4003 lowland Bananas that have died down
Description
Bananas that have died down for the winter should be cut back in the spring so that new growth can emerge
Nepenthes rajah x (lowii x veitchii) is a cross from Andreas Wistuba
We expect this cross to be like a toothy Nepenthes Diana or Lady Luck on sterioids
Note that there's a many radicans x luxurians hybrids in cultivation and we were skeptical about receiving this plant initially but after growing it out and comparing its inflorescence to information on Tropicos we're fairly confident this is radicans
It stays relatively small with squat shaped pitchers that darken to deep purple
Nepenthes talangensis x hamata, BE-4003 lowland Bananas that have died downNepenthes talangensis x hamata, BE 4003. This easy to grow hybrid takes on the best attributes from both parents. We love the sinister teeth on hamata peristomes and it is a contender for our favorite species. But, the pitchers are relatively thin. Not so with this hybrid! Nepenthes talangensis passes along its squat pitcher shape and more rigid texture. This hybrid grows well under intermediate and highland conditions. Highly recommended! This
