Patti, Adelina - Original Portrait Painting 1889 [POLITICS] Both of them addressed toStar soprano (1843 1919), probably the greatest of the second half of the 19th Century. Original portrait of her, hand painted, attributed on verso to Scottish American painter William Russell Smith (1812 1896), with the date 1889. No signature, but verso inscriptions match very well some typical verso inscriptions found in paintings by him (see HERE). We believe this could be an authentic painting by William Russell Smith and not by any members of
