It all started in 1938 when the legendary luthier John D'Angelico met a young string maker by the name of John D'Addario. Their chance meeting on the streets of New York City resulted in a lifelong friendship and an invention called Electrozinc. These strings used Bethanized steel and zinc plated wraps to produce exceptional
