Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original neck ribbon, consisting of a stylized oval border, with a central winged cherubs head above a scroll with a raised inscription of FR TREUEN DIENST (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE), the reverse with an etched recipients name of ELFRIEDE MAHNKE, measuring 35. 74 mm (w) x 52.
