In silver, engraver marked "CANZANI" (Demetrio Canzani) on the obverse, measuring 31. 8 mm (w) x 37. 7 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally pierced ball suspension, edge nicks, contact marks, original ribbon, very fine. Footnote: The Medal for the Italian Independence Wars and Unification was instituted on March 4, 1865 by Royal Decree No. 2174
