Germany, Heer. A Kuban Shield Heer. A Flak/Artillery Hauptmann’s Service Tunic constructed of non-magnetic metal(Heer Kubanschild). Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by an inscription of KUBAN and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by a date of 1943, affixed with four side clips to a magnetic metal backplate with a field grey wool liner, unmarked, the shield measuring 52. 25 mm (w) x 60. 94 mm (h), minor loss of finish is visible to the base
