Constructed of matte aluminum, the obverse with a raised slightly pebbled field, depicting a spade with a mobile swastika on the blade, surrounded by a circular field decorated with five wheat stalks the reverse hollow, with an integrated catch and a double claw spring bar; marked S & C, 36 on the reverse, measuring 63 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), with a leather tab attached, marked Schmle & Co., in overall very fine
