The hat measures 325 mm in width x 348 mm in depth x 120 mm in height
the colours of the ribbon indicating its was awarded by the Emperor after 1900
featuring the handwritten signature of Generaloberst Alfred Keller (Pour le Mérite
stating that he had five years' previous service but it doesn't indicate as to which unit (although it is likely that it was the 4th Infantry Battalion)
