Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of a NSKK style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by a date of 1939, circumscribed by an inscription of 5. BAYR. OSTMARK GELNDEFAHRT, topped by initials N. S. K. K., the reverse maker marked CARL POELLATH, SCHROBENHAUSEN, measuring 98 mm (w) x 64 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
