with maker stamp “Clemens Wagner
notable events being in London in 1912 (which allocated the first radio call signs)
the obverse consisting of a standard national eagle with open arms clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons
the reverse with a central circular white enamel medallion bearing the dates “1864” and “1914” in silver

Constructed of bronze, obverse with a raised German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, circumscribed by inscription KAMPF GESCHWADER 153, MERSEBURG (BOMBER GROUP 153, MERSEBURG), reverse with richly detailed skyline of Merseburg with perched eagle, unmarked, measuring 95 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
