Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a frontal depiction of a battleship cutting through waves, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Friedrich Orth, Vienna, measuring 43. 30 mm (w) x 56.
