A tropical field cap constructed of an olive brown cotton, with a T shaped one piece national eagle, swastika and tri colour cockade machine embroidered to a dark green fabric backing, attached to the upper front, with a metal Edelweiss insignia secured to the left side, field applied, indicating use by Gebirgsjger (Mountain) troops, the two side panels are joined at the front by brown bakelite buttons, the unmarked interior is
