Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward facing profile of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a central wreathed inscription of FR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR (FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER), unmarked, measuring 24. 79
