The earthquake lasted for nearly 20 seconds, hitting 6. 8 on the Richter scale, followed by two 6. 0 after shocks. In that time, nearly $50 billion dollars of damage was done. It is the highest recorded earthquake in North America. This original shirt from the aftermath celebrates life and rebuilding in the face of the quake.
