An Air Sports Association Cap Badge Archive Schmidt was killed in actionThis is a scarce and very well preserved Deutscher Luftsportverband (DLV) visor cap badge; constructed of thickly padded dark navy blue wool and a black rayon backer; with a finely detailed die stamped silvered bronze eagle in the center (60 mm wingspan), with a finely hand embroidered bullion wreath around the outer edge of the badge, and the letters DLV embroidered above and below the eagle; measuring 57 mm x 47 mm; in worn but overall very fine
