Spain, Kingdom. An Order Of Naval Merit, White Distinction, Grand Cross Star, C.1920 Auction surmounted by the inscription "NEW(Orden al Mrito Naval). Instituted 1866 by Queen Isabel II of Spain. Type I. Alfonso XIII issued. White Distinction. A faceted eight pointed star in polished silver, the obverse featuring a superposed white enameled gilded bordered Latin cross in silver gilt, superposing by an enameled blue anchor in bronze gilt, surmounting by a red enamel period Spanish royal crown and a clasp, reverse with central pin assembly and dual stays, measuring 79. 69 mm
