Pinned into the centre of the cap band is an Army insignia depicting a raised lion rampant with crossed swords, constructed of bronze and measuring 46. 5 mm (w) x 45 mm (w). The cap is flanked on each side by bronze buttons bearing raised crossed swords, holding in place a decorative chinstrap. constructed of twisted and rolled gold
