A Military Merit Cross, III Class and Commemorative 1848 Medal Auction Fest der Jugend badge (24A Commemorative Medal of the Austrian Social Democratic Party for the Freedom Fighters of 1848, in bronze, measures 29. 3 mm in diameter, worn on original trifold ribbon (demonstrating wear and discolouration), notable edge bruising, in near very fine condition. A Military Merit Cross, silver and enamels, featuring a cross with wreath segments denoting military division in the arms, marked VM for Vincent Mayer and a dianakopf hallmark, measures 30. 9
