A Japanese Order of the Rising Sun, V Class in silver with a red cabochon centerpiece and a white enamelled star. The star is affixed to an enamelled Paulownia Flowers suspension with green and purple enamels and Kanji on the reverse. The medal is on its period ribbon with a hook and eye.
