Spain, II Republic. A Rare Order of the Republic, Grand Cross Star, by Cejalvo Republic of the eagle flanked by a(Orden de la Repblica Espaola). Instituted in 1932. A silver eight point star with clusters of smooth rays with beaded outlines, the obverse medallion in multicoloured enamels, featuring a eight armed red enamelled Maltese star with a green enamelled wreath weaving under and over arms, the center presents the bust of the republic on dual white discs, the reverse is plain with a vertical pin flanked by dual stays, marked near the hinge with an M55 mark
