Known for their poetic and often depressing lyrics, the band, which featured Blake Schwarzenbach on guitar and vocals, Chris Bauermeister on bass, and Adam Pfahler on drums, were active for a decade, writing and releasing four albums. Their first three records were released on various independent labels before singing to DGC, a major label, for the release of
