It has a row of red piping along the top edge, with an Imperial cockade incorporating a black painted rayed base, topped by a silvered ring and a raised red centre. Immediately below is a wide red wool band that travels the circumference of the cap, with a black and white painted rayed Prussian cockade on the front. The visor is black vulcanfibre, the underside of
