Constructed of magnetic metal, the face bearing a central raised German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of LW. MINERALL STAMMABTEILUNG 1 for the Luftwaffe Central Petroleum Department, topped by a lug for insertion into a handle which has been lost to time, unmarked, measuring 35 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), with oxidation evident throughout, in very fine
