A Purple Heart to Henry Halpern, with Case Republic of both dated “1Two piece construction, in bronze gilt with red, white, purple and green enamels, reverse machine engraved HENRY HALPERN, measuring 34. 9 mm (w) x 47. 0 mm (h), original ribbon with brooch pinback, extremely fine. Accompanied by its 17 mm (w) x 4 mm (h) enameled ribbon bar, in its hardshelled case of issue, marked "PURPLE HEART" on the lid, interior lid shows staining, wear and residue to exterior. A ribbon bar is included.
