insignia illustrating a scripted "L" interlaced with a capital "U" within a wreath on the centerpiece

with a stripe above the cross inscribed "FLEISSIGE BERTA" (Little Bertha) and two blank stripes below

while France and Russia appear on the left and right sides respectively

Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed and blue enameled arms joined through the quadrants by stylized rays, the obverse overlaid by a central blue enameled medallion, situated within a circular oak leaf wreath and bearing a raised German national eagle
