Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, around a central Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42. 75 mm (w) x 54. 45 mm (h), weighing 30. 1 grams, a rare example of a zink badge retaining virtually all of
