Bryant Park Frame Color:Black "These views are normally deniedAs temperatures hovered around record highs for April, hundreds of New Yorkers spent their lunch hour getting a tan on the lush green grass of Bryant Park. Times staff photographer Vincent Laforet took the image on April 16, 2002, from atop a nearby building. The next day, the photo was atop the front page of The Times, where it was reported "the modes of undress ranged from jacketless businessmen to the shirtless, shoeless and sockless."
