Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by crossed swords, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, flanked on each side by six oak leaves, the reverse with an integral hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a crimped wire catch, designer marked PEEKHAUS and maker marked SCHWERIN, BERLIN, measuring
