An early quality 1957 version reflective of period wartime insignia, in silvered bronze, the obverse presenting with a swooping Luftwaffe style German national eagle within an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a barrel hinge and narrow banjo style pinback meeting a round wire catch, with two rivets holding the eagle in place visible, unmarked, narrow wreath variant, measuring 64. 74 mm (w) x 53. 14 mm (h),
