It features calcareous soil with bounteous chalk and limestone. The average age of the vines is 57 years. True to the La Spinetta philosophy, no pesticides or herbicides are used. The fruit undergoes maceration and alcoholic fermentation in temperature controlled vats for an average period of 15 days. Malolactic conversion takes place in French oak barrels, of which 30% are new
