The movie was based on the Japanese manga and tells the story of Oh Dae su, a man who thrown into prison for 15 years and seeks revenge after he's finally out. It won many significant and well regarded prizes, including the Grand Prix at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival. The film has gone on to be regarded as one of the finest pieces of modern cinema.
