This example was made around the late-1960s by Harvard Sports Headwear

It's got the wonderful blue hands associated with Longines in the 1940s

This comes in a very simple four pocket construction with double stitched seams throughout

The US military typically only uses domestically manufacturer items, and it's rather unusual to find a Swiss made watch that would have been issued. These were bought and used by the Navy, specifically the Bureau of Ships (BuShips) and most likely would have been worn by senior officers, Captains, Navigators etc. This example is fully original, the 10L movement, serial number 6791271 dates it to 1944.
