A gilded bronze, straight armed cross patte, the obverse centre, bearing the crowned monogram of Wilhelm Rex, the reverse inscribed KRIEGSVERDIENST (MILITARY MERIT), attached to a button back, maker marked J. GODET & SOHN, BERLIN, measuring 15. 09 mm (w) x 17. 57 mm (h), and in very fine condition.
