Germany. An Iron Cross 1939 First Class, 1957 Issue Auction known as comtessen(Eisernes Kreuz 1939 1. Klasse, Entnazifiziert). A 1939 cross that has been professionally denazified and transitioned into a 1957 version cross. A cross patte of multi piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a ribbed border; the obverse with the re institution date 1939 in raised numbering, but missing its its swastika; the core has been re painted with a semi glossy finish; the reverse plain, with a slender banjo style
