Instituted 1732 by Duke Ernest Augustus. Constructed of Gold, silver, and multi coloured enamels, consisting of a leftward facing white enameled falcon inlaid on a richly textured Gold background, bordered by a notched raised Gold ring, in turn ringed by a finely enameled sapphire blue border with the Motto VIGILANDO ASCENDIMUS (Through Vigilance We Ascend) in Gold lettering, within a final
