Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, with a central Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, set above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 41. 80 mm (w) x 52. 98 mm (h), weighing 32. 9 grams, with total loss of silver finish evident, in very fine
