Constructed of polished metal (magnetic), the obverse with a standard SS motif consisting of a national eagle with open wings clutching a static wreathed swastika in its talons, surrounded by the SS motto Meine Ehre Heit Treue (My Word is my Honour) in raised lettering surrounding the wreathed swastika between two ropes, the reverse with a standard double claw spring bar assembly and a soldered catch, marked,
