The band was only around for a few short years. In that time, they released two albums, a self titled in 1985 and its follow up Retaliation in 1987. The songs were hard and the lyrics satirical. They broke up shortly after its release, with members going on to form Type O Negative which continued a similar trajectory. Carnivore would reunite several times for stints, and is even active today
