Constructed of silvered zink and gilded brass, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two depressed rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with an integral clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting an integral catch, maker marked with the logo of Gebrder Wegerhoff,
