McARDEN, Joy [MUSIC] A pupil of FaureDutch soprano (1893 1952), whose real name was Johanna Maria Goverdina (Jo) IJzerman. Signed photograph, shown as Octavian in Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier, inscribed in London, dated in 1939. Stamped on verso by photographer J. W. Debenham, Willesden. Size is 6 x 8 inches, mounting traces on verso and some silvering at the top, otherwise in very good condition.
