Constructed of white porcelain, of a circular medallion trimmed with a hand painted green border, the obverse bearing a raised 1939 Iron Cross, with its swastika surrounded by an oak leaf wreath highlighted in hand painted green, circumscribed by an inscription of DAS DEUTSCHE VOLK DANKT SEINEN TAPFEREN SOLDATEN (THE GERMAN PEOPLE THANKS THEIR BRAVE SOLIDERS), the reverse bearing a
