The cross itself is not marked by Klein & Quenzer
the obverse bearing a raised pillbox topped by a crossed sword and shovel and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika
The chinstrap rests upon a protruding vulcanfibre visor which is finished in a glossed black on the obverse and in a matte brown on the reverse
