Germany, Luftwaffe. A Rare Officer’s Bergmütze, Named to Oberarzt Günther Sehr, by Litto of Vienna Province of China In silver gilt with violet(Luftwaffe Bergmtze fr Offiziere). A rare and well preserved Luftwaffe Bergmtze (Mountain Cap), constructed of dark grey wool with a fine whipcord weave. The cap is surrounded by fold down side panels, scalloped toward the front, which provide optional ear and neck protection to the wearer. When not in use, the panels roll up and fasten in position with a single pebbled zink button which emanates from the right panel and meets a reinforced buttonhole
