A 127th Infantry Battalion "12th York Rangers" Cap Badge, Type I with Lion Buy Now and Victory Medal (5499 PTEIn browning copper, maker marked "ELLIS BROS TORONTO" on the reverse, measuring 47. 2 mm (w) x 46. 8 mm (h), both lugs intact, extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in the County of York, Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Toronto, under the authority of G. O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed August 24, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel F. F. Clarke with a strength of 32 officers and 972 other ranks. On
