As always, it is the poverty of its terroir, located on a barren hill of pebbles and clay (Montrachet meaning "bald mountain" in ancient French) that generates a wine of such unusual complexity and richness. Straddling the communes of Puligny and Chassagne, the vineyard is today divided between
