Two First War French Canadian Battalion Cap Badges Archive On October 26WWI 167th Infantry Battalion Cap Badge CEF Browning copper, voided, dated "1916" and maker marked "CARON FRERES MONTREAL" on the reverse, 36. 3 mm x 44. 2 mm, intact lugs and pin, extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Quebec with mobilization headquarters at Quebec City under the authority of G. O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion was formed under the command of Lieutenant Colonel O. Readman and re designated the Quebec Recruiting
