It is dated between the years 1000 and 1300, making it one of the oldest Viking tunics ever found. This reconstruction is closely based on the original, with a square overlapping the front, a rectangular bottom, and no gores. Undertunics were worn to keep outer garments clean for longer. Undergarments were often washed, while outer garments were washed
