De Oakeshott type XIII stond bekend om zijn paddestoelvormige pommel. Het zwaard is 96,5 cm lang, met een kling van 79,5 cm lang en maximaal 4,4 cm breed. Het evenwichtspunt ligt op 16 cm van de pareerstang. De pommel en pareerstang zijn van staal gemaakt. De botte, battle ready kling is van koolstofstaal met een Rockwellhardheid van 48 50 HRC. De meegeleverde houten schede is met leer overtrokken.
