Gallische galea G, optio, Weisenau, 1.3 mm LARP during the Norman Conquest ofThis is a replica of a Roman helmet excavated in Weisenau, city of Mainz. The original dates from approx. 50 75 AD and is exhibited in Worms, Germany. This galea helmet is provided with a crest and was worn by the optio. This Roman helmet is made of 1,3 mm thick steel. It is suitabe for a head circumference up to 62 cm.
