R30390 BR Standard 2MT - Early BR - Lined No.78019 NE 12D Steam Locomotive Code-200 The Class 153 was producedThis locomotive started its career in March 1954 at Kirkby Stephen and operated on the Trans Pennine Stainmore route, where it famously rescued fellow 2MT No. 78018, which was stuck in a snowdrift at Bleath Gill. Retired from Crewe South in November 1966, it was later rescued from Barry scrapyard in 1973 and moved to the Severn Valley Railway, before transfer in 1998 for overhaul by the Loughborough Standard Locomotive Group, who returned it to steam
